| Whitney Oaks Golf Club Springfield is the active adult community within an even larger planned development, Whitney Oaks, which includes family and custom homes designed and constructed by a number of different builders. The Whitney Oaks community surrounds the public Whitney Oaks Golf Club which is a championship 18 hole golf course owned and managed by the Brightstar Corp. This Johnny Miller-designed course is the home course for our golfing residents and the Springfield Golf Club. Residents of Springfield enjoy the privilege of reduced greens fees as well as special discounts in the pro shop and restaurant. Thousands of majestic live oaks, an abundance of well place bunkers, enormous granite outcroppings and an ever-changing topography characterize this championship layout. The multitudes of environmentally sensitive wetlands create additional challenges for golfers while affording them numerous opportunities to view a wide variety of indigenous wildlife. The 18-hole "Whitney Oaks" course at the Whitney Oaks Golf Club facility in Rocklin, California features 6,788 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 74.2 and it has a slope rating of 138 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Johnny Miller, the Whitney Oaks golf course opened in 1997. |
